Help Us Celebrate “Plastic Free July”

“Plastic Free July” is an international initiative that “calls for all global citizens to collectively address one of our greatest environmental challenges, plastic waste.” This year, FRIENDS of Indiana Dunes are teaming up with our friends at Save the Dunes to help spread the word.

During the month of July, the FRIENDS of Indiana Dunes are hosting several Beach Clean-ups to get you “hands-on” removing litter from our beautiful Indiana Dunes State Park beaches. Sadly, most of the litter found on our shoreline are single-use plastics. Get involved and make a difference!

Additionally, Save the Dunes is bringing a month-long series of special events and a plastic-free challenge to jumpstart you and your family to live a plastic-free lifestyle.
