While much of America will be watching the Super Bowl festivities today, Superb Owl fans everywhere will spend the day and night celebrating owls. 

The Indiana Dunes are home to seven of the World’s 250 species of owls. These are the Great Horned, the Eastern Screech, the Snowy, the Barred, the Long-eared, the Short-Eared and the Northern Saw-whet. 

Mid-late winter is a great time for owl observations as most of these owls are currently on their nests.
