Happy National Squirrel Appreciation Day! The Indiana Dunes State Park is home to 5 different species of squirrels. Join the naturalist on a 1-mile moderate hike to learn about the adaptations and identification of our agile athletes of the Dunes. *If snow conditions allow, snowshoes will be offered for use during this program free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. *If snow conditions allow, snowshoes provided by Friends of Indiana Dunes will be offered for use during this program free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.
