Celebrate Earth Day and show your support for environmental protection by spending the morning at the Indiana Dunes National Park’s 4th annual Earth Day Cleanup. Family, friends, neighbors, and park employees will join forces to collect a winter’s worth of trash and debris from roadsides, beaches, the Little Calumet River, and trails throughout the area to help beautify the parks and make the region a cleaner place to live.
“Participating in the cleanup is a great way to take pride in your community, celebrate the spring, and enjoy your local National Park” said Volunteer Program Manager Jim Whitenack.
Registration will take place at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center the day of the event. Volunteers will be assigned cleanup areas during registration. Dress for the weather. Equipment and protective gear will be provided.
